A simple weekly routine that reduced our stress
Kavya N. Β· Jul 9
Sunday planning, one activity per kid, screens off at 8. Boring on paper β transformative in practice.
The three rules
- Sunday 20-minute plan: calendar on the table, everyone sees the week, kids pack Monday's bags before bed
- One activity per kid per season. One. The hardest rule for US, not them
- Screens off at 8 β parents included, which is the only reason it works
What actually changed
The weekday mornings. No lost shoes, no surprise permission slips, no 7am negotiations. We didn't become better parents β we just stopped ambushing ourselves. Six months in, the kids enforce the Sunday plan on us.
