TAGKC Picnic — Independence Day Celebrations

Join the Telugu Association of Greater Kansas City (TAGKC) for its annual community picnic, this year doubling as an Independence Day celebration — an afternoon of kids' games, music, food and flag-hoisting spirit under the shelters of Heritage Park. The gathering carries forward TAGKC's long-running Vana Bhojanam tradition: the Telugu custom of sharing a meal outdoors with the whole community. Everything is free and open to all — bring the family, meet new and old friends, and stay for the evening. All ages are welcome, and there is plenty of open lawn for games. Ice cream and badam milk for the crowd are sponsored by Krishna Realtor. TAGKC has served the Kansas City area's Telugu community for decades with festivals, cultural programs and summer picnics; this celebration is one of its biggest family events of the year. Bala Vihar Trial Class

Bala Vihar is a weekly Sunday program for children from pre-K through grade 12 that introduces families to Chinmaya Mission's spiritual and cultural education approach. Trial classes offer new families an opportunity to experience a typical session before committing to the full academic year program. 2026 e-Bala Vihar
